Applications of BBa_K1391018
L7Ae is a powerful repressor. Mechanistically, it is an translational repressor that targets 2xk-turn segments on mRNAs. As a repressor, it is useful as a signal inverter and expression control. Note that L7Ae is known to become cytotoxic after ~72 hours.
